Link is one of the two narrators in Stone Cold. Link was originally from Bradford but had to take the the train to London due to his mother finding interest in a bad man.
He then had to stay with his sister Carole for 2 weeks.

Shelter is one of the two narrators in Stone Cold. Shelter is an ex-army Sargant who was left off on medical grounds. He is trying to form an army out of the home less people of London. The Camden Horizontals. Eventually his path crosses with Link at the end of the novel.
