Individual Education Plan (Rancangan Pengajaran Individu-RPI)
Program related to Special Education and services designed specifically to meet the learning needs of students with special needs.
Formed in a series of meetings in the form of a plan of each student.
A written agreement between parents and the school about the needs of the student and the manner in which those needs can be met.
Contract about the services that need to be provided to the special needs student.
A teaching program based on multidisciplinary assessment and designed to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities.
Formed by a committee involving school administrators, teachers, parents and even the pupils themselves if deemed appropriate.
Contains goals and objectives based on existing achievement for students with those special needs.
State the date of service provided, implementation period and evaluation pattern to determine student achievement.

The goals and objectives of the RPI are expressed in the form of able behaviors observed and measured.
Follow sequence
RPI are formed based on the sequence of development and function of skills.
Realistic and appropriate
The goals and objectives stated in the RPI should be appropriate to the level of function and the existing rate of development per pupil.
Understanding
RPI are recorded using the simple language understood by professionals and also parents and can affect what needs to be known.
Agreement
Agreed by parents, teachers, students and other professionals involved.
Formed for each student with special needs within 30 days or one month from the date the student is determined to be disabled.
Complete before the actual placement is confirmed, and before the student receives any services or special education.
Reviewed and revised at least once a year by the RPI committee but parents and teachers can request that the review be carry out more frequently.
