ARTISTIC GRAND
Goals: Development and deepening of the artistic practice
Target audience: Artists
Characteristics
Only for artistic development
No obligation of result
Fixed amount: no need for a budget plan or financial accountability
Focus on ‘development’
PROJECT Subsidy
Goals: Support activities that are limited in time and goal and have a specific output
Target audience: Cultural workers (artists, curators, dramaturges) and artistic organizations
Characteristics
Projects up to 3 years
Also for activities abroad and for for foreign organizations (need for a link with Flanders/Brussels)
STRUCTURAL Subsidy
Goal: Support for the day to day organization of artistic organizations
Target audience: Artistic non-profit organizations that are located in (and have strong links with) Flanders of Brussels
5 years
CORE Institutions
Goal: Support for the day to day organization of artistic organizations
Target audience: Organizations that occupy specific functionality and/or role within the ecosystem of the arts landscape
Characteristics
10 years
At least 2 functions
Call + Contractual agreement with the Flemish Government: organizations engage in a dialogue with the Flemish government about their specific role/functionality in the Arts Landscape
ART INSTITUTIONS
considered to constitute the core of the art field
Having a national and international standing
Fulfilling all functions that are stipulated in the arts decree
Having a board with political represenation
Subsidy is negotiated between the instutitions and the Flemish government and recorded in an agreement

INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION
Breakthrough trajectory
(doorbraaktrajecten): internationally promote an artist with ‘international potential’ BUT only once in a artistic career
Subsidy for

: support specific organisations that are concerned with international networking
Fee for presentations abroad & residencies abroad: Support for the participation in events abroad that include a moment of public presentation

Granting criteria
The applicant is involved in
professional art within the Flemish Community
The applicant is professionally active in the arts sector (regardless of the number of years, with the exception of multi-annual scholarships: then the applicant must have been professionally active for at least 5 years);
The activities do not fall within the field of activity of the Flemish Literature Fund
Evaluation Criteria
General criteria
: Artistic quality & quality of the business plan
Specific criteria for each function (presentation, production…)
Criteria in relation to the position paper of the government
