Interpretation Overview
What I knew about interpretation before the course
Interpretation can be used to see connections throughout the Bible and to help you see more of God's goodness in His Word.
Interpretation requires you to be able to read the text slowly and to not just skim the text. I do this a lot and have to constantly remember to do this.
I knew that interpretation for bible passages was to help understand what the verse was talking about and who it is talking to.

Used to summarize the passage in a simple sentence
Helpful to see how much you understand the passage
Let's you see if you still think the same as the passage

Sorting through the information helps you to get down to the central idea of the passage

The outline helps compile a list of information about the passage or book
The list can show what information the verse has in its entirety
The list also shows as much detail as you put into it, putting more emphasis on you caring about the
Separating the passage into smaller contained bits helps with the understanding of the passage
Separating the passage into parts based on the content of each part helps you to get a deeper understanding of the overarching story.
You can really dive in to why the passage was written when you look at each verse separately
