HOW FTP WORKS?
UPLOADING-the process of transferring documents, graphics and other objects from computer to a server on the internet
DOWNLOADING-the process of a computer or device receiving information such as webpage from a server on the internet
FTO SERVER- is a computer that allows users to upload and/or download files using FTP
file transfer protocol is an internet standart that permits file uploading and downloading with other computers on the internet
INSTANT MESSAGING
users need to install instant messenger software on the computer or mobile device before they can start messaging with each other.
examples: WHATSAPP MESSENGER, TELEGRAM MESSENGER, FACEBOOK MESSENGER
instant messaging is a real-time internet service that notifies you when one or more people are online and allows you to exchange messages or files or join a private chat room with those people

examples:SKYPE, VIBER, GOOGLE HANGOUTS
DISADVANTAGES: -some VoIP services doesn't work during power outages and the service provider may not offer backup power.
