Decrease in Automobile emissions amidst Covid-19 Pandemic.

Lockdowns were brought into actions because Covid-19 pandemic was getting worse day by day.
Lockdown had a negative impact on human lives but also helped the nature heal itself as there was less pollution.
Curfews :forbidden:
Curfews were introduced by government so that the people would stay in their homes in order to stop the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Curfews not only did help reduced the spread of Covid-19 pandemic but also helped reduce the pollution due to which the environment healed naturally.
Before Covid-19
Before Covid-19 pandemic started there was high rate of pollution and most of it was caused by automobiles.
Even after planting trees and spreading awareness about the environmental the pollution level just kept on increasing at a rapid rate
During Covid-19
During covid-19 many plants came to life as deforestation was stopped because of lockdowns which helped in reviving the environment.
During lockdowns there was also a significant reduction in pollution because there were no vehicles on the road nor any pollution causing agent.
Could Covid-19 give rise to a greener global feature?
The COVID-19 pandemic is threatening lives and economies around the world.
But it has also demonstrated that human societies are capable of transforming themselves more or less overnight.
Covid-19 also taught the people about how the environment could be if we stopped deforestations and environment harming activities.
Has Covid-19 helped ease air-pollution?
In many countries like China and India, Pollution has been significantly reduced due to covid-19 pandemic and number of deaths due to pollution also significantly reduced.
So the answer to this question is yes, covid-19 did help ease the air-pollution but it is not a permanent thing.
Covid-19 along with the bad things also brought good things like environment healing itself and nature reviving. This all happened because all the activities causing harm to environment stopped because of lockdown and curfews.
Effect of Covid-19 on air-pollutant concentration.
Hydrocarbons are the major pollutants coming out of vehicles but because of decrease in traffic congestions there was a significant reduction in hydrocarbon concentration.
The carbon monoxide is also a harmful gas which is released by automobiles which reduced significantly due to traffic reductions.
Impact on Ozone layer.
Due to decrease in automobiles pollution during Covid-19, the Ozone layer also regenerated and if we take measures the environment will heal completely
The ozone layer depreciation is mainly caused by CFC, Chloro Fluro Carbon which is mainly emitted by automobile AC systems.
