Most people were farmers, and their lives revolved around the farming seasons. So as to they could sell, eat store crops until the next faming season.
The iron age was marked as a period of the discovery of iron and steel. This lead to the prosperity of many as to the decline of some. Greece was among the declined societies in the iron age. The cause is unknown but it said to be due to an invasion by Dorians or by the Sea Peoples, or even by a natural disaster, or climate changes, but no single explanation fits the available archaeological evidence.
Import & Export. In Iron Age Britain the exports included grain, metal, dogs and slaves and imports included wine, oil and pottery.
Barter Trade. It was done where something was traded or given in exchange for another thing. This was done in terms of profit and usability for each party.
Potter's Wheel. It is a machine in creating a specific machine for a type of art pottery. This works when it moves and it is shaped into thin wire.
Wood pole lathe. The wood pole lathe is an instrument that is used to carve and shape tools to perfection. It was one of the main inventions in Iron Age. This was used by putting objects touching a spinning wheel in order to carve an exact or perfect tool.

It was from 1200BCE-600BCE. It was the age where iron was discovered. It has a long time period because it depended which region discovered it when. It was preceded by the Bronze Age and the Stone Age. It was a three stage division that occurred in pre-history. The concept has been mostly applied to Europe and the Ancient Near East, but also, to other parts of the Old World.
How did iron age impact the development of society?
Iron farming tools, such as sickles and plough tips, made the process more efficient and allowed farmers to exploit tougher soils, try new crops and have more time for other activities.
How did this help in protection?
This helped in protection because wood pole lathe were used to create weapons that increased the damage done and so eased the process of killing. In this killing could include anything from trees to animals to humans. Humans were killed in act of state of war.
Clothing:- The clothes of Iron Age people were made from wool and dyed with natural vegetable dyes (from plants and berries) in: blue, yellow or red. Bracae (trousers) would be worn under a tunic, held at the waist with a belt. Over this would have been a cloak with a striped or checked pattern, fastened by a brooch.
Housing:- The housing of British Iron age families were in places with point tips on the top called roundhouses. These were round at bottom. They had space for everything storage of food toilet and of bedrooms in such small areas.
