Classical Conditioning - Coggle Diagram
Classical Conditioning
Defenition
Learning through process of association
Examples : Dog leads -> walks Loud noises -> bombs(ex army)
Stimulus and response defenitions
Unconditioned Stimulus:
A stimulus that automatically produces a natural response
Neutral stimulus
A stimulus that provides no specific reaction
Unconditioned response
A natural response to the UCS(Something that always produces a natural response)
Conditioned stimulus:
An event that produces a learning response
Conditioned response
A learned reflex behaviour that is produced when exposed to a conditioned stimulus
Stimulus generalisation
When similar stimuli produce a similar response
Discriination
One period of time the response only occurs over a certain stimulus
Extinction
The removal of a behaviour due to eventual disassociation
Spontaneous recovery
The association will reoccur after repeatedly pairing the stimuli again
One trial learning
Sometimes only one pairing between the stimuli needs to occur for an association to be made
