Some of the shortcomings identified in the practicum reflection forms and focus group interviews need to be addressed. First, additional or alternative means of instructing pre-service teachers on how to use CoPORA are required, possibly through a think-aloud process or in conjunction with other materials, such as video analysis. In addition, the reflective task's nature must be open, as practicum reflection forms have been shown to impede respondents' ability to reflect, despite their usage of the CoPORA reflection model.
