Poverty
Gender Inequality
Some women cannot afford sanitary products to clean themselves and protect themselves from diseases.
Safety concerns are created when women have to use the bathroom so they are not sexually assaulted in some countries.
In some countries women cannot afford menstrual hygiene products, so they stop attending school.
In some countries women are forced to get married young, but men are the "breadwinners" of the family causing women to be unable to support the family.
Some women become pregnant while attending school causing them to drop out to take care of their child.
Support System
Many students in poverty have low self-esteem and do not believe that they could be successful (this could also factor in their ability to finish school).
Some students do not have the support from the families to keep them out of trouble and to stay in school. They fall into the wrong crowd and become addicted to the wrong things.
School required events could be put on the back burner due to the family not necessarily wanting their child to participate or don't necessarily care if they do.
"An education is the key to getting out of and staying out of poverty." This could turn away families because they do not want their members to leave them behind.

Other family priorities
Some students have to work or do chores instead of going to school. (Students sometimes have to work in order to help the family).
Some students have to help take care of their siblings or other members of their family. This could cause their attention to be elsewhere and not focus on their school work and it could keep them from attending school in general.
Some families do not have the time or do not want to make the time to help their students with their school work.
Safety concerns could be created if the family cannot take their child to school. They may have to walk or ride the bus and this could be dangerous depending on the city they live in.
Families are possibly always moving to look for work, so the likelihood that a child will remain at the same school is not very high.
Learning Abilities
Some students are behind in their education. This could also create a sense of low self-esteem and cause them to not finish school.

A students family may not have access to internet or computers. With this day and age many schools use online resources for education.
School
the best schools in an area could possibly be private schools and families cannot afford their tuition prices.
-
Schools in low socio-economic status areas do not have the money to provide textbooks or resources for all students and have a limited supply.
Some students may not be able to afford to go on field trips (field trips are an opportunity for students to enrich their learning)
Some families cannot afford to send their child to school with a lunch, so families are having to pay for the students lunch or the student may not be able to eat at all.
