• Email or electronic mail is the transmission of message and
files via a computer network.
• One of the original Internet services on the Internet.
Function: Allows user to create, send, receive, forward,
store, print, and delete e-mail messages.
Email programs are available as desktop apps, web apps
and mobile apps
Examples of desktop e-mail programs: Microsoft outlook ,Opera mail
Examples of free e-mail web applications: yahoo mail ,Gmail
INSTANT MESSAGING
a real-time internet service that notifies you when one or more people are online and allows you to exchange messages or files or join a private chat room with those people
users need to install instant messenger software on the computer or mobile device before they cant start messaging with each other

WWW(world wide web)
• The World Wide Web (www) provides a worldwide collection of electronic documents (webpages) for user to access.
• Each webpages can contain text, graphics, animation, audio and video.
• Webpages can be a static page or a dynamic page which can be linked to each other through a hyperlink.
STATIC PAGES :
• A simple web page.
• No interactivity, programming syntax or web hosting.
• User can see the same content at a time.
Dynamic Page :
• An interactive web page.
• Enables interaction with user.
• User can customize some or all of the viewed content.

HOW FTP WORKS
• Uploading: the process of transferring documents, graphics, and other objects from computer to a server on the Internet.
• Downloading: the process of a computer or device receiving
information such as a webpage, from a server on the Internet.
• FTP server is a computer that allows users to upload and/or
download files using FTP.
