John D. Rockefeller
Rockefeller owned an Oil industry, which produced mass amounts of oil.
Some business techniques he used was horizontal integration enabled Rockefeller to gain tremendous control over the oil industry and use the power to influence vendors and competitors.
His first oil refinery was created with his brother around Cleveland in 1870
His Industry in the early 1880's
He paid his workers average wages, this later made him millions. He was a Robber Baron because he put other businesses out of business which left him with no competitors which created a monopoly in his favor.
Cyrus McCormick was an international harvester whom produced grains for seasonings.
Some techniques that he used to his increase sales was he used methods such as mass production, advertising, public demonstrations, warranty of product and extension of credit to his customers
Cyrus Mccormick founded his company in Chicago. in 1834 with his brother Leander Mccormick
Mccormick treated his workers great while he worked amongst them he payed them above average wage. Cyrus Mccormick was a Captain of Industry because he had great tactics that did not screw his company, workers or buyers over.

He was a Robber Baron because he wasn’t super fair to his employees and he made sure he had low prices to keep his buyers buying
He exploited his workers subjecting them to long hours, dangerous work, and low pay
Henry Ford
Henry Ford owned an automotive company where he made
an assembly line of cars
He used large production plants; standardized, interchangeable parts; and the moving assembly line, sold millions of cars
He created his first car in 1908, which made him famous and then he sold millions, but he founded his company in 1899

He paid his employees $5 a day, and gave them weekends off, he also treated his customers well
Henry Ford was a Captain of Industry. He pioneered Mass Production, helped economic rise, and donated much of his wealth to charity.
