Leadership
Is the accomplishment of a goal through the direction of human assistants.
Types of leadership according to Max Weber
Participatory or democratic leader Uses consultation, to practice leadership. He does not delegate his right to make final decisions and points out specific guidelines to his subordinates but does consult their ideas and opinions.
Liberal or Free-rein leader: Delegates to his subordinates the authority to make decisions. He can tell his followers "here is a job to do.
Autocratic leader: Assumes full responsibility for decision-making, initiates actions, directs, motivates, and controls the subordinate.
Empathy
Ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. It’s an important skill that most of us use in our daily lives as we navigate our relationship with the world
Management Grid
