Was made to test the behavioral not the mental process. Where they tested a little baby and got her afraid of white rats, than only white animals was her fear.

Particular reinforcement
Fixed interval
The time for the reward is settled. Ex: a quiz every week makes you study a bit every night so that you can do well on the quiz.
Variabel interval
There is an unpredictable number of correct responses. So that means that it is very resistant to extintion as well. Ex: Gambling, lottery tickets, you never know when you are going to win.
Variable ratio
The time for the reward is not set. Resistant from extinction. Ex: a pop quiz is something you never know when is going to happen so you study a bit everyday.
Fixed-ratio
The number of reward is set. Ex: the buy 10 get 1 free which makes you only focus on the 1 you get free same with the fligth wins and shit like that.
