A clause is a group of words that contain a subject and a verb. It is part of a larger more complex sentence.

AC usually begin w/ a relative pronoun (who, that, which, when, whose, whom, who). Appendix 22, p. 420 for a full list

Can replace "where" with "which" or "that" + a preposition (in, at, for)
