everyone working in health and social care must understand how to consult with children. it takes different skills to be able to do this and also different types of communication
for children who are old enough and mature to voice their own wishes these wishes must be taken into careful consideration

all issues must be determined as soon as possible as the children must always come first
taking a child away from family may have bad affects but it is for the child's best interest
children have the right to be able to stay with there wider family circle whenever that is possible
