Definition of software: Software is a series of instructions that tells a computer what tasks to perform and how to perform them

- Proprietary software - Privately owned and limited to a specific vendor or computer model and need yearly license.
- Open Source software - Software which can be used, modified and improved by anyone and can be redistributed freely.

DEFINITION OF OPERATING SYSTEM :
A set of program that coordinate all activities among computer or mobile device hardware.
TYPES OF OPERATING SYSTEM :
:star: 1. Desktop operating system - a complete operating system that works on a desktops laptops and some tablets. ( Sometimes called a stand-alone operating system )
:star: 2. Server operating system - a multiuser operating system that organizes and coordinates how multiple users access and share resources on a network. ( To support a network )
:star: 3. Mobile operating system - an operating system that resides on mobile devices such as smartphones.
