Chemical Weathering
Caused by chemicals
Carbon dioxide from the air dissolves into rainwater (acid rain). This reacts with the rocks and it damages them speedily.
It is common in Limestone as the Calcium Carbonate in it reacts with the acid rain. This forms substances that are washed away in the rain leaving less rock behind.
