The graphic novel is very self-conscious of its status as a medium, one that relies on print for its production and transmission. Looking at TWO different examples we've encountered so far, explain how the graphic novel responds to other media (film, radio, computer, etc). What does the incorporation of other media into the graphic novel mean? How does it help us understand the graphic novel's status as a recording device, one that can encode and deliver a story?
