a way of buying and selling products that allows the farmers to be paid a fair price for their produce, and have better working conditions. Trade is 'unfair' when farmers recieve very low income and have poor working conditions while companies that sell their products make lots of money from them.

Community Fair Trade is their own bespoke programme, founded and run solely by The Body Shop. It’s the biggest fair trade programme in the cosmetics industry. Having our own programme makes a difference because it gives us an authentic connection to our producers and suppliers. We know them, personally. We know their families and communities.
