Craft Department
Production Designer
They create the way a film or TV drama looks. They imagine the screenplay visually. They draw sketches showing mood, atmosphere, lighting, composition, colour and texture. They work with other art department members to draw up a budget.
Costume Designer
Costume Designers design, create and hire the costumes for the cast. They work with directors, producers, writers, production designers and hair and makeup designers to contribute to the look needed to convey the story telling aspect accurately.
Hair and makeup designer
They help actors portray their characters by using hair and makeup. In the pre production stage, they work closely with the director to understand the style of the story. They break down the script, acting and hair and makeup requirements at each point.

Technical Department
Script Supervisor
The job of the script supervisor is to check each filmed scene can be edited to ensure the project makes sense in the end. During pre-production a document is created which analyses the script in terms of cast, actions, wardrobe and props etc.
Sound Mixer
Sound mixes up the department and are responsible for sound effects and sound during filming. They meet up with the producer and director to discuss sound effects and sound needed. They also correct sound problems such as background noise or moving traffic.
Grip
Grips make sure that what the director and director of photography want to achieve on a shot is possible. When filming in public spaces key grips will play a major role in keeping the shot safe
