Mrs and Mr White are devasted and after the funeral Mrs White is so desperate and she convinces her husband to express the second wish: the second wish is to bring back their sun from death.

Mr White, very frightened, finds the paw in time to express the third wish: the third wish is to bring back Herbert to his gave.

The family welcomes him and as he relaxes with a drink, he starts telling them exciting stories from his time in India.
Mr. White would like to see the strange and exotic places of India, but Morris says it is best to stay home.

According to Morris, the paw has the power to full tell three wishes to the person who has it, but it also brings very bad luck.
So Morris throws the paws in the fire, but Mrs White takes it back, and after having paid Morris, he decides to keep it for him and his family.
