Social Conservatives
On the economy and foreign policy, they're the same as most Republicans, hawkish and opposed to a big government
Traditional social values
Opposes same sex marriage, planned parenthood
Promotes family values, opposing abortion
A conservative religious response to the sexual revolution of the late 1960s
Opposes illegal immigration
Fiscal Conservatives
They're mostly concerned with the economic agenda
They support a laissez-faire economic policy
Abolition of estate (inheritance) tax as they don't have a problem with generational/inherited wealth, unlike socialists
Cuts in federal spending so that less taxes are needed and therefore people get to keep more of their money
Tax cuts for the rich so that they can invest that money and create jobs
Less environmental regulation
Less corporate regulation
Moderates
They're still very conservative, but differ slightly
Socially they're more likely to support civil rights issues such as gay rights and abortion
Fiscally they support higher taxes and more governmental programs when compared to most Republicans
Sometimes they're called 'RINO's', Republicans In Name Only, implying that they're actually Democrats. Furthermore they're more likely to compromise with Democrats in bipartisan bills, like Susan Collins did
