        Collect additional info from family on what has been tried in the past and what has/hasn't worked for the student.
        
        Step 3: Develop a plan
        When possible, involve the student themselves in coming up with strategies to help them succeed. Also consider reaching out to other students and staff about what they have seen benefit the student.
        Some differentiation strategies to consider in your plan include:
        • Classroom environment techniques, like new seating, brain breaks, headphones, fidget spinners, group activities, etc.
        • Content/delivery techniques like screen readers, different or supplemental materials (print, video, audio, and/or tactile).
        • Demonstration of knowledge techniques like allowing oral or video submissions, or incorporating other alternative topic/format options into activities
        • Supplemental services like after school tutoring..
        Changing classes or class formats (ex. virtual)
        
        Step 4: Review plan as a team
        Include parents, mentor, counselor, other teachers, and the student when possible.
