- - - - The first trait is curious, the website describes INTJ's strengths as being constantly curious and mentally stimulated by their surroundings which I heavily agree with. I consider myself a highly curious person since I'm easily fascinated by new ideas, specifically ideas that are applicable to my daily life. I'm also very interested in viewing things from contrasting points of view, such as political issues, movies/tv shows that I've watched, art pieces that I like, etc. Most importantly, my curiosity is reflected through my desire to learn and my pursuit of knowledge not just in school but also in other aspects/fields that I'm interested in.
      - The second trait is independent, the website describes INTJ work friendships and relationship preferences as being independent and friendly. I often prize myself for being highly independent. Ever since I grew up as a child, I've always preferred to do things by myself, not because I was lonely or scared, but I just preferred my own company. Furthermore, the website mentioned that in my friendships and other relationship aspects of my life, I don't want to feel beholden to my friends, and vice versa. To me, an ideal friendship is low conflict and based on mutual respect rather than obligation. However, despite my independence, I always make sure to stay close with my friends and be friendly toward my classmates.
      - The third trait is creativity, the website describes INTJ work habits as being methodical yet creative and spontaneous, which I highly agree with. Within my academic life, routine and tasks often bore me heavily. But when given a chance to test or express my knowledge through mediums such as assignments, tests, projects, and group works, I often excel and find these activities to be engaging. In addition, when working in group work, I often find myself tackling problems or assignments differently from my group members, whether writing a paper, doing a PSA video, or solving math problems.
  - - - The first trait is arrogant, the website describes INTJ as being knowledgeable but takes extremely infallible pride in their knowledge. The website also mentioned that INTJ often becomes needlessly harsh or single-minded in trying to prove others wrong. I highly believe arrogance doesn't reflect my personality as a person. Since I consider myself as equal to my peers, specifically academic-wise and in every other aspect. When taking on a group project or leadership role, I always respect others' opinions instead of dismissing them. Not only my peers, but I'm also respectful toward people around my environment, no matter their economics class or social status
      - The second trait is overly critical, the website describes INTJ as setting high standards for people and criticizing others heavily when people don't meet their expectations/standards. This trait highly opposes my personality as though I do set certain standards for people around me, such as expecting them to be fair, respectful, and honest with their actions. When the people around me failed to meet these standards, I'd respectfully ask them or notify them of their negative behavior instead of overly criticizing them, as the website described.
      - The last trait which I highly disagree with is dismissive of emotions. According to the website, INTJs are described as being overly rational and ignoring their very own emotions in certain situations. The website also mentioned that INTJs would get impatient with those who express or value their feelings more than facts. However, I don't consider myself as someone who is dismissive of their emotions, but in fact, I'm very in tune and well connected to my thoughts and feelings. My connection to my emotions takes many forms, such as writing down in a journal every day, talking to myself whenever I have doubt or am stressed out, and processing/releasing any emotions that might occur within my life in positive ways. In addition, whenever I see someone cry or is facing a hard time, I would offer to help them out or give them whichever kind of support they need.
- - - - I’m highly interested in software engineering because of its problem-solving nature and creative analytical approach. Software engineers are professions who help design complex software that can be accessed by millions of people worldwide. This accessibility and mentally stimulating work culture are what drew me into software engineer as a potential career.
      - Next is biomedical engineer, biomedical engineers help to analyze and innovate technology that can potentially help solve problems in biology and medicine. The career is relatively new but has provided humankind with meaningful innovations such as vaccines, artificial limbs, organ devices, etc. I’m interested in this career field because of its disciplinary ability where biology, medicine, and engineering are merged together within the professions to create meaningful innovations that can help many people worldwide. When I was a kid, I had a passion for medicine and wanted to be a doctor. But I quickly gave up on that dream because I refused to go to school for ten years of my adult life. After discovering biomedical engineering, I realized that I could work in the medical field by creating biomedical inventions to help patients, just like doctors/physicians.

        The degree that currently interests me is biomedical engineering. To put it simply, biomedical engineering is about learning how to apply engineering and design principles to medical and biology-related problems.
