Mexico
Wilson was hesitant at first because of his policies, but eventually sent soldiers in to manage the crisis as Mexico's internal troubles began to bleed into the US.
Germany
When the world wars broke out, Wilson, still according to his philosophy, sought to keep as far away from the battle as possible, which resulted in the US remaining neutral throughout the war until they provided full support.
Theodore Roosevelt
(1901-1908)
Big Stick Ideology
Japan
Roosevelt wielded considerable authority and was able to assist/intervene with Japan's troubles. During the Russo-Japanese War, he was instrumental in the negotiation of a peace settlement.
The main goal was to create a route that runs from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean across Central America.
By doing so, he would strengthen the army by adding a naval force.
He had to acquire the Panama route, which cost around 40 million dollars, to make this viable.
