Different Types of Crimes
Hate Crime
It is typically one involving violence, that is motivated by prejudice on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, or other grounds
Violent Crime
Is a violent felony, crime of violence or crime or perpetrator uses or threatens to use harmful force upon a victim
Murder Crime
The unjustified killing of one person by another, usually distinguished from the crime of manslaughter by the element of malice aforethought
Property Crime
Usually involving private property, that includes, among other crimes, burglary, larceny, theft, motor vehicle theft, arson, shoplifting, and vandalism
Burglary
Entry into a building illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft
Fraud
Is a deliberate act or failure to act with the intention of obtaining an unauthorized benefit, either for oneself or for the institution, by using deception or false suggestions or suppression of truth or other unethical means, which are believed and relied upon by others
Identify Theft
The fraudulent acquisition and use of a person's private identifying information, usually for financial gain
Terrorism
The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims
