All citizens now had to pay tax and contribute towards the state's expenses
The nobility and clergy lost the privilege of not paying tax
The law guaranteed free trade and respect for private property
Benefited the bourgeoisie
Social changes
Everyone was now equal before the law
As a result of the introduction of limited male suffrage, the bourgeoisie could now participate in politics
