- - - - PROJECT
        
        SCAFFOLDING; Heavier amount of scaffolding will be used for the work. Think-Ink -Pair -Share activities will be done about life skills. First students will think about how the skills can be applied to the given situations, students will write down what they think, students will pair up with a partner and compare and finally will share as a whole group.
      - ELL and Special Needs Students
        
        AUDIO FILES Students will be provided with audio files to practice the story at home and work through the story at their own pace.
        
        PROJECT Students will be provided with example sentences that only require key words to fill in order to get the students started with the writing process and understanding the expectation of each part of the writing assignment. CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT The whole classroom environment will be designed around helping the students understand the topic. Constant teacher feedback for assisted group.
        
        LEVELED BOOKS Students struggling with the story will be provided with an alternative story that captures the same concept but more level appropriate.
        
        Assistive technology I will use assistive technologies like chrome book, audio book and online dictionaries. VISUALIZATION will be heavily utilized at this stage because new words are first shown, heard and then spoken.
      - DIFFERENTIATION
        
        ONLINE DICTIONARIES Students will be taught how to use approved English dictionary websites that provides English and native language(FRENCH) translations for words. When I am reteaching vocabulary they will be allowed to look up for a words and record them on their spelling worksheet.
        
        GUIDED READING Students will read through the story with the help of teacher accompanied with multiply choice questions and fill in the gap worksheets.
        
        FLASHCARDS The formative assessment questions will be made into flashcards for students in the group to quiz each other. Student will play a YES/NO GAME with the cards. For instance, I will hold up a card and if a word matches the card the student will say YES, and if a word does not match student will say NO.
    - - Differentiation
        
        Know, Want to know Learned Chart Students will use the skill of scanning to determine what they think will happen in the story, what they want to know about the story and after reading students will fill in what they learned.
        
        Reassessing and reviewing Students will retake the vocabulary assessment to reinforce their understanding of the context. Students will use flashcards to assess their peers by taking turns in a group activities to reinforce their understanding of the story.
        
        Extracting the main idea Students will be given concept maps with portion of it filled out and the students will need to complete as they read along the story. Paired reading is allowed to enhance the collaboration skills.
      - Project
        
        Scaffolding Students will be given a list of hypothetical situations and a list of life skills that are most suitable.Students will focus on researching on life skills which are applicable to the situations and themselves.
    - - DIFFERENTIATION
        
        Reading Circles Students will turns reading in a circle. I will allow discussion as far as is in English to help students collaborate on the complementary worksheets.
        
        Designing Quiz Students will develop their own quiz questions with the goal of quizzing their peers comprehension of the story. Quizzes questions can be collected and collated into mini- formative assessment to be used throughout the week as bell ringers.
        
        Creating Visual Aids Additional challenge task of creating an info-graphic or poster inspire from the project.
      - PROJECT
        
        Students will conduct independently research on a hypothetical, but realistic situation and discover essential life skills everyone should have. Their work will be in the written form and emphases will be placed on the importance of life skills and how it can be related to them.
