Deaf Arts
Theater
-
Someone who is Deaf and understands ASL/the culture should be playing those roles that are representing those who are Deaf
In theater for those who are Deaf, the platforms are raised so the visual elements will be showcased better
Music and Dancing
-
There are usually a lot of percussion elements, which can be more felt than heard
-
Literature
-
-
ASL does not have a written form, but it has a rich history and has been passed on orally, or rather through ASL
-
There are original stories, plays, poetry, etc. that have been passed down without writing
Media
-
Hearing, non signing people are often cast to play those who are Deaf
