Formative
Definition: Formative assessments is a way to asses student learning and adjusting strategies as well as provide feedback to students due to the data collected.
Exit Ticket: Students answer the question related to the concept being taught that day to assess their understanding.

Quizzizz: A short quiz assessing the students' understanding of a concept to adjust instruction where needed,
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Interim assessments are assessments administered during certain points of time. They are used to determine students progress such as on report cards and used to adjust instruction to increase performance.
STAAR Tests: STAR tests are given in order to assess student learning for that grade level and content area being tested.

Six weeks Test: A test given at the end of the six weeks to assess students' knowledge over that six weeks instruction.
Summative
Definition: Summative assessments assess the students at the end of a unit. They are necessary for grading and are used for report cards.
End of Unit Test: Tests given after a unit is taught to assess students' overall understanding and take it as a grade.
Midterms and Exams: Tests given at the end of a semester to assess students' learning for that semester of learning.
Performance
Definition: Performance assessments are assessments that require a student to perform a task rather than regular testing.
Exhibits: Students will create an exhibit such as a history exhibit or science exhibit to assess student knowledge.
Presentation: Students will create a presentation explaining the concept and present their findings and knowledge to the class.

Diagnostic
Definition: Diagnostic assessments are assessments to find out students' strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills.
Survey: Teachers can give surveys to assess students skills and weaknesses before teaching a concept.
Fact Fluency assessments: An assessment to assess a student's knowledge of their multiplication facts.
