Exogenic Processes
Occurs outside the surfaces of the Earth. :
Erosion
The mechanical process of grinding something down thanks to ice, water, wind, and gravity.
Water Erosion
Rainfall of the earth which stores some water, then mechanically wears down rocks.
Glaciers
These carries sediments, and the sizes range from sand dusts to boulders larger than houses.
Wind Erosion
As the wind blows, it picks up sediments that cuts and shapes the minerals.
Gravity
Its impact is also determined by:
The sum, its slope, the speed, and the surface of the falling rocks.
Weathering
Breakdown/dissolving of rocks into smaller pieces
due to natural processes overtime with the agents being: water, wind, ice and abrasion. It also has different types, Physical and Chemical.
Abrasion
When a material wears or weathers overtime. It's also likely due to this constant wearing that rocks will be shaped.
Water Abrasion
Wind Abrasion
Glacial Abrasion
Physical Weathering
Chemical Weathering
Oxidation
Happens when oxygen reacts with a mineral.
Water
It is the UNIVERSAL SOLVENT and due to water, it breaks down molecules making rock weaker.
Hydration
Occurs when the minerals or rocks absorbs water, changing their chemical composition.
Carbonation
Occurs when Carbon Dioxide, sulfur and nitrogen mixes with rain water to create a harmful substance.
Mass Wasting
Refers to the movement of rocks
or large bodies of it by the influence
of gravity.
Fall
When a portion of a rock falls due to gravity from a high altitude

Slides
Movement of materials where they follow a straight line as they fall, quite literally like a slide.
Slumps
Slow movement of soil along a curved surface, creating what looks like a dent.
Avalanche
A destructive type of mass wasting where loose rocks coherently or chaotically rages downwards.
Flow
When a material is carried by a fluid, or is somewhat integrated into a small body of water.
Deposition
It's when rocks or rock particles get carried and transported to a different place carried by wind or flowing water.
Deltas
Occurs when a river enters another body of water like oceans, lakes, or another river.
Canyons
A presence of a cleft between two big chunks of rocks.
Meanders
Streams of water that create an S loop, moving to a lower elevation.
Floodplain
Forms on low lying areas like riverbanks due to deposition, and it is generally a flat area.
