Common denominator
Multiples
There is around two ways to find the common denominator the first method is finding the least common denominator or the smallest whole number that can be divisible by both denominators to find the least common dempmaintor list the multiples of each denominator and then pick the smallest one the lowest common denominator is the lowest common multiple of the denominators of a set of fractions.
meaning
a common multiple of the denominators of several fractions.its an fractions which have the same denominators, for example 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 and 3/4 + 1/4 = 1
Equivalent fractions
Meaning
an equivalent fraction is a fraction that is the same as the other fraction but has an different denomaitor
How To Solve
to find an equivalent fraction you need to take the fraction you have got, and then multiply the numerator and the denominator by the same number. For example if you had 3/4 multiply the numerator 3 and the denominator 4 by the same number, lets say 2 than you times 3 by 2 witch equals 6 and now with you denominator 4 you also times it by 2 witch equals 8 so that means your overall answer is 6/8 :
muiltpling
with multiplying with fashion you have to multiply the numerator for the fractions by each other the numerators the number at the top the results of you multiplying it is your answer then after doing that you have to multiply the denominator from each dermatome the denominator is the bottom number(fashion) then you will get you to answer the after that you can simplify or reduce the answer to make it better to understand it.
LIke denominators
to make the denominators the same we have to muilitply the top and the bottom of each fraction by the denomiator of ther other one like if we had 20/23 and 10/16 then you have to divide the top and the bottom by 2 each time and that is simple.
subtracting
to do subtracting with fraction you need to make sure the bottom numbers or denominators are the same then you subtract the top numbers then you put the answer in the same denominator then you can simplify the fraction.
Area Model
you have to drra a rectangle or the sape you want for the area modle than you can split the spapes into the numbes equal parts shown by the denominator than you need to shade the numbers of parts shown by the numerator.
Number line
when using an number line you first need to draw your number line form 0 to 1 for example if you had 1/4 you move one part on the right side of zero to mark lets say to mark 7/4 than you move seven parts on the right side of zero to make 3/4 move the three parts on the left side of zero to mark 9/4 move the nie parts on the left of ero.
Algrethem
to do the algrethem with fractions you need to inverd the divisor anf mulitply interperet and compute the quotients of fracions and solve the problem e.g by using visual fraction model and equastion to respect the problem

there is 2 ways of doing the modle you. can do area moddel or number line model they both are moddles and you can see your thinking you also have to use covers to make it more intrusting to look at and also to make you thinking more clear

when doing dividing fraction you need to create equal whole useingthe denominators as dimessionsthan you need to compare the values and you have to see how many are in an group then you have to dentemine how many whole groupes can be made than you have to determine what portion of the group you are trying to make can be made so thats how you divide with frastion with an model
