UAC
students can change their preferences as many times as they like.
There is a schools recommendation scheme for. early entry into university (based on portfolio, year 11 results etc etc)
Maths Prerequisites
Economics, commerce, engineering, psychology, medicine, pharmacy, science, vet science
Designed to ensure a student can cope with the demands of a course.
Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for mathematics is for people who have not studied the correct level of Maths
The exam for MOOC is usually in January
Academic Excellence Scheme
Rewarded for high level maths or english results
Can have adjustment factors (previously known as bonus points) added to your ATAR
IB
The IB’s main point of difference is that it’s a global program of study. The IB Diploma course is offered at more than 5000 schools in 156 countries around the world.
Transferring
Must have completed at least one year / or one year equivalent part-time
You can apply in under a year, but your ATAR marks will be used.
Future Leader Scheme
Available for DUX & School Captain
School captains self nominate
Dux is automatically the person with the highest score through UAC. They must have USYD as one of the top 5 preferences
Broadway Scheme
up to 10 adjustment factors if you have experienced any hardship
Not for medicine / dentistry
Up tp 10 points below the standard ATAR
Disrupted schooling, financial hardship, severe family disruption, excessive family responsibilities, english language problems, illness/disability, refugee,school envrionement
E12 scheme
For rural, regional & lower social economic students
Successful applicants receive a scholarship, financial support etc etc
Sometimes it can be 10 points lower for guaranteed entry
