Law of Reflection: the angle of the reflected ray is equal to the angle of the incident ray, with respect to the normal to the surface that is to a line perpendicular to the surface at the point of contact.
Law of Refraction: when light rays travel from a less dense medium to a more dense medium, they bend toward the normal (because they slow down) and when they travel from a more dense medium to a less dense medium they bend away from the normal (because they speed up.)
