EDUCATION (SPECIAL EDUCATION) REGULATIONS 2013
Apply to a government school and government-aided school which implements Special Education.
Pupil with special education
needs means a pupil who id certified by medical practitioner, an optometrist, an audiologist or a psychologist as the case may be, whether in serve of government or not, as a pupil having:
Visual Disability
Hearing Disability
Physical Disability
Learning dificulties
or any combination of the disabilities, or disabilities and dificulties.
Special Education
means an education for a pupil with special education needs in special school, or school which implements the Special Education Integrated Programme or Inclusive Programme, at the level of:
Pre-school education
Primary education
Secondary education
or Post secondary education
Inclusive Education Programme
means an education programme for a pupil with special educational needs which is attended by a pupil with special education needs together with other pupils in the same class in a government school or government-aided school.
Special Education Integrated Programme
means an educational programme for a pupil with special educational needs which is only attended by pupils with special needs in a special class in a government school or government-aided school.
Individual Educational Plan
means a record containing items as determined by the Register General which specifies the educational plan for each pupil with special educational needs.
Requirement to attend probation period
Not more than 3 months at government school or government-aided school.
FAIL
Appeal to the Registration in writing within 30 days from date of notification of the determination.
The determination of the Register is final.
Prepare and submit a probation periodd report to a penal
Panel members:
the Principal, head Teacher or Senior Assistant for Special Education
the State Education Department Officer or District Education Officer
the Social Welfare Department Officer or Persons with Disabilities Development Department Officer.

Make modification to the T&L methods/ techniques; time allocation for each activities; activities arrangement and teaching aids
Requirement to attend co-curricular activities according to suitability of the pupil
Duration of education for a pupil with special education needs
not >2 years in primary schools;
not >2 years in secondary school; or
one year in primary school and one year in secondary school.
Vocational education in secondary education vocational school may be extended for one year.
