INTERCONNECTEDNESS OF ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY
The interrelationship between society and technology is that society funds, builds, develops, and innovates new technologies for the development and advancement of their community, as well as to improve the quality of life of their people, while technology is built to meet the needs of society and its people.
How is the environment, society, and technology interconnected?
Technology is developed by societies in order to protect and maintain the environment and natural resources.
The environment provides the natural resources that cultures require to survive and develop the technologies that society requires to progress.
Whether it's for survival, protection, advancement, or efficiency, technology is developed in response to the demands of society and the environment.
Both human actions and advancements in technology have the potential to harm and improve the environment.
The destruction of the environment and its natural resources would also result in a social response and maybe slow or stop to technological progress and evolution.
Technology and the environment are mutually dependent in the sense that technology is designed to provide ways, tools, and machinery for protecting the environment and conserving its resources from the harmful effects of man made global warming, while the environment provides the materials needed to create technology.
The environment and society are intertwined in the sense that the environment provides societies with all of the natural resources they require to survive, and societies are responsible for their protection and conservation.
