Poor work performance
Worker spends excessive amounts of time surfing the internet at work
even when the addicted person is not on social media, the addiction continues to put demands on their time.
They find themselves repeatedly throughout the day shifting attention away from other activities to check social media feeds
Each time the person returns to their other activities. It requires a long time in order for that person to gain total focus. In some cases, they just cannot and then give up.
