How does vibrating objects cause sound waves to carry energy through the air?
The air is made up of many tiny particles. When sound is created, the air particles vibrate and collide with each other, causing the vibrations to pass between air particles. The vibrating particles pass the sound through to a person's ear and vibrate the ear drum.
How is speed measured?
Speed= Distance divided by time.
How does the speed of sound differ through solids, liquids and gases and how does differ to the speed of light?
Sound travels fastest through solids (5000m/s). This is because molecules in a solid medium are much closer together than those in a liquid or gas, allowing sound waves to travel more quickly through it
Sound travels faster in liquids(1500m/s) than in gases(330m/s) because molecules are more tightly packed.

How are sound waves entering an ear, converted into electrical signals, and then sent to the brain?
The units for speed is Metres per second (m/s)

How fast does light travel
What happens if you travel faster than the speed of light?
If something went faster than the speed of light it is logical that time should go backwards. If something went at the speed of light it makes sense for time to stop
Light from a stationary source travels at 300,000 km/sec (186,000 miles/sec).
The wave length is the distance from peak to peak or troth to troth
Amplitude is half of the wave
Frequency defines pitch
Amplitude defines the volume
The sound waves enter the ear and are directed to the eardrum through the ear canal. The eardrum then vibrates making the ossicles vibrate. These vibrations are then led to the cochlea which makes the liquid inside shake. This then travels through the ear canal where it is transformed into electrical impulses to reach the brain through the auditory nerve.
