SECOND AND THIRD CONDITIONALS
Second conditional
is used in the following situations:
imagine that our life is different
things in the future that are unlikely
things that are impossible in the present
to ask the hypothetical questions
to give advice
to give reasons why
If+ past simple,...would+ verb
What would you do if a whale swallows you?
If tomorrow you lose 50 kilos, what would you do?
If I won the lottery, I would buy a 5 Gucci shoes
Third conditional
the third conditional is used when imagining a situation in the past and the imaginary result that is also in the past, and since it is "imaginary" it is not real, it is when we want things to be different then we can imagine "that there would be past yes ...? "
Regrets about the past
wish we could change something in the past
tell someone off about something they did in the past
