When you tell your sister to do something and she does it, you are exercising the power you have over her, but power is a constantly changing factor in our world and one day your sister may stop listening to you entirely because she's not satisfied with you as a person.

Numbers (protesting in numbers, primal kindof)
Political systems - A system in the government that defines the base values of the government as well as the way power is distributed in the country
Democracy
in a democratic system, the power is given to the citizens of the nation by allowing them to vote.
Example: America has citizens vote for a representative of their state, who has political beliefs that align with the majority of the state. After the state chooses the elector, the elector would then vote for either president.
Authoritarian
in a authoritarian regime, All the power within the state is given to a single person or a single party.
Example: North Korea uses an authoritarian regime that puts all the power into a single person, that person being the supreme leader. The supreme leader is able to introduce any law/policy and has the capacity to preserve his power until his death.
Sovereignty/Nation state - The supreme authority within a territory without the interference by other countries.
International Relations - The manner in which different sovereignties interact with each other. This could be in terms of trade, war, negotiation etc.
Economic Development
Development - Development can be defined as the improvement in the quality of life within a country, the way development is measured depends on the subjective opinion of what you consider to be improving your life.
Human Development Index (HDI) - the human development index is a widely used system of analysis to help quantify the stage of development the country is in. It measures 3 aspect of the country.

Developing Countries
Trade - The only way to develop a country significantly is through trade with other countries, making use of either natural resources of the country or human labour. to earn capital and be able to improve any aspect of the HDI.

Migration - Migration defines the process of moving from one country to the other due to their circumstances
Refugees Vs Immigrants
Refugees - Refugees are people who move to a different country because they were motivated by push factor to do so

Fair Trade
Fair trade is a trading partnership which is based on dialogue, transparency, and respect, whose main aim is to seek greater equity in international trade. It aims at offering better trading conditions and also securing the rights of marginalized groups, by offering better wages, standard working conditions and also protects child labor issues.
Free Trade
Unrestricted import of goods, helps increase efficiency and opportunity at a global as well as lower the prices of products by removing or minimising import Tariffs and such. This could cause product made unethically to enter countries easier, which violates the code of conduct of certain countries.
