Urbanization
Mega city- City with population over 10 million people. Tokyo. Japan or New York are both mega cites, when there are only a few mega cites in a countries most people migrate there or start development around them.
Infrastructure- Jobs, food, energy sources that support the continuity and cites as wholes. Urban planes, plan Infrastructure for cites, Infrastructure supports carrying carrying capicty.
Primate city- A city that is two times as large as the nest biggest city. Paris, France or Mexico city, Mexico
Rural to urban migration- pull factors- Economic opportunity, Excitement for young people, Reasons for young people to leave where they live and explore. Moving form Nebraska to New York because you don't want to live on your family farm anymore, you see more oppurtinity in New York.
Rural to urban migration- push factors- Lack of economic opportunity (jobs) lack of health care, and safety concerns. When you see better opportunities in a different cites. In India working a factory you won't get as much money as someone doing it in the us.
Rural- A place located far out from a town or city, specificity away from cites and main resources. How Craig is rural with nothing around but forest and mountions.
Vancouver Canada- The third largest city in all of Canada. It is the perfect example of a mega city.
Gentrification- Where a poorer urban area is changed by people with wealth coming in. In Denver there is a perfect example of richer people coming in moving into places that are in the poorer area.
Favela- A town or group of people who's government has not been reliable to provide basis needs and services for the people of the community so they take matters into their own hands and do it for themselves. Brizal has a high pouplation of Facelas with in cites like Rio.
Carrying Capacity- Amount of people a place is able to support with a good economic level and it doesn't get over populated.
Urban- a town or city, mostly considered to be populated. boulder is an urban area.

Asylum- A protected way for migrants to move to another place. When it got unsafe for Peter to live where he was he went for asylum.

Trade and Globalization
Brain Drain- Migration of smart people when they leave where they are to look for better life and opportunity. Lot's of smart people move to places looking for others to colorbate.
Balance of trade- Keeping you imports and exports of a country at a good consistency. The U.S. imports a lot more that than export, giving them and imbalance of trade. China imports and exports around the same amount.
Winners from Globalization- Company or people who gain something from the occurrence of globalization. Emerging market and the economi
Trade- Buying or selling a good or service. China gets lots of goods such as natural oils and fossil fuels.
Chokepoint- An area that a country controls what comes in and out. The Suez Canal is a stright that connects the Medertrain and the Red Sea, the Canal athority controls it now because of an agreement of who can control.
Capital/ Investment- Money made from how much they put in and that they profit from in the total outcome. The United States capital investment is when they get money from exporting goods.
Losers from globalization- Countries or places that do not befit from Globalization, smaller countries that do not have the sources or resources to be sustainable with places going. India is a country that is not befitting from globalization they are in det and are not doing what is good for them.
Imports- A country bringing a product in from a different place in return for a service of money. China Imports lots of natrual oils and natrual goods.
Exports- A country that brings so sends goods and services out to different country. Saudi Arabia exports many natural goods and oils.
