Rainfall and Clouds
Cumulus clouds form below 6,500 feet and are associated with relief and convectional rainfall. They give off heavy but short showers. They have fluffy tops and flat bottoms. They can grow into tall, dark cumulonimbus clouds.
Stratus clouds form below 6,500 feet and are associated with frontal rainfall. They emit light rain the falls over a long period of time. They look like blankets that cover the whole sky.

Cirrus clouds form above 20,000 feet and do not produce rain however they do indicate a change in weather.
