Students with learning difficulties referral process
2- Referral process
Class teacher fills out the online referral form stating concerns.
Learning Support Head views the filled out referral form and schedules an observation.
Class teacher meets with Learning Support Head to discuss observation feedback, view work samples and agree on next steps.
Scenario 1:
Concerns are minor and the student is likely to benefit from some strategies to be implemented in class, which will be shared by LS staff.
Scenario 2:
Strategies have already been implemented and/or the student seems to need more direct/ intensive intervention.
4- Feedback from Learning support to the teacher
The learning support share the observation and give feedback to the teacher

6- Aligning all the teachers dealing with the child, to be all working with same plan, and targeting the same objectives
3- Learning Support Observation
Learning support will observe the child in different classes.
They will observe at different times, and in different areas (indoor and outdoor)
Inform the parents that their child will be taking extra support
Put an action plan together and set goals and objectives
