Audience and unique selling point for my documentary
For my documentary about the 'Marketing behind vaping' I would want the target audience to be able to relate to the context behind the documentary. Therefore I would want to target a younger age group like 13-30. I feel with this demographic, the audience would be able to understand the references and slang used whereas an older generation who don't conventionally vape but more smoke would be confused at the topic of choice
For my unique selling point I would want to to include a range of different ages therefore having a range of different opinions. For my tagline I would want it to say
"It was made for the better, but turned out worse"
"Bad stuff happens in the wrong hands"
This tagline has meaning behind it, Vapes when they were first invented and introduced to society were marketed for people to quit smoking and turn to vaping as it was proven to be better for the environment and for your health. However, 'vape' caught the eye of the wrong group of people. Rather than being successful with the older generation of smokers, the younger generation saw this new device as a 'cool', 'trendy' piece of technology.
