Begin Child Study
"A Child Study Team will meet when it is determined that a student is not being successful even when interventions have been provided. The purpose of the meeting will be to gather information and implement more interventions to help the child achieve success with the curriculum. During this meeting, a SIDR document will be filled out. SIDR stands for Student Intervention Data Review. At least one Child Study must be performed before a student can be recommended for testing for Special Education Services. Documentation must be provided for a minimum of 6-8 weeks that even with interventions, the student is not achieving success with the curriculum." (Child Studies)
It is determined if a student is eligible for special education services.
Referral for Comprehensive Evaluation
Examples of Tier 3 strategies: one on one instruction, reading program (phonics based), counseling
Continue to monitor progress
If no, continue to use tier 2 strategies to support the student.
Continue to monitor progress
**Tier 4 Special Education Recommendation and services
IEP/504 Plan
Continue to monitor student progress
If yes, continue to use these strategies to support the student.
If no, implement Tier 2 Strategies

Begin Student of Concern Document
Meet with the grade level team to discuss the student of concern and complete the Student of Concern document. Parents/Guardian are informed about all concerns.
Include any work habit or behavior concerns that impact achievement
