Reflex testing: Bicep C5-6, Brachioradialis C6-7, Triceps 7-8.
Test myotomes: No myotome corresponds to the upper four cervical nerve roots.
C5- Shoulder abduction
C6- Elbow flexion/wrist extension
C7- Elbow extension/wrist flexion
C8- Thumb extension
T1- Finger abduction

Subjective

Symptoms include: pain, numbness, tingling and weakness.
Objective

Observe posture, compensations.

Palpation, replication of any symptoms.

Pathology
-
Can be due to herniated disc, spondylosis, trauma.
Radiculopathy: A radiculopathy is a loss of nerve function due to demyelination or axonal damage. This objectively presents as a loss of reflex, power and sensation. Is separate from pain.
Radicular pain: The pain felt as a result of irritation/ compression of nerve root. This results in abnormal stim of nerve miming nerve like symptoms (electric, fire, shooting).

C6 Lateral forearm, first two digits -- Biceps -- Biceps absent
C7 Posterior forearm, third digit -- Triceps -- Triceps absent
C8 Medical forearm, fourth and fifth digit -- Finger abduction, grip
