Tests
Exclude ACJ with palpation around ACJ and scarf test. Also Paxions and O'Brien's.
Exclude biceps with uppercut and tenderness over biceps.
Subjective
Most common shoulder presentation. Diagnosis reached by exclusion of other pathologies.
With non traumatic cases there is often change in load profile.
Painful and weak shoulder.
Can have MOI (tear) or be insidious.
Objective
Patient pain reproduced on abd and ext rot.
Clear Cx, elbow and visceral causes.
No significant loss of PROM.
Clear neuro.

Slap lesion.
Bicep tendinopathy.
Frozen shoulder.
ACJ joint.
Calcific tendinopathy.
Pathology
Over-arching term that encompasses: subacromial pain (impingement) syndrome, rotator cuff tendinopathy, partial and full thickness rotator cuff tear, bursitis.
Most common shoulder condition.
Specifically thinking about conditions that are painful and weak.
Treatment
If you can cope with pain keep moving, if not relative rest.
Activity modification and education around management. Reduce intensity, duration and or frequency.
