Multiples
a number that may be divided by another a certain number of times without a remainder.
"15, 20, or any multiple of five"
Common multiples

The multiples of 3 are: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, ... etc
The multiples of 5 are: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, ... etc
So, a common multiple of 3 and 5 is 15 (and 30, 45, etc ..., as well)
Equivalent Fractions
meaning
Fractions that have the same value, even though they may look different.
Example
For example, 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent because they are both half of the amount of the dividend.

Mixed numbers
A whole number and a fraction combined into one "mixed" number.
Example: 1½ (one and a half) is a mixed number. Also called a Mixed Fraction.
Improper fractions
A fraction where the numerator (the top number) is greater than or equal to the denominator (the bottom number). So it is usually "top-heavy".
