When we multiply, what is the name of our answer?

Formative
Definition: An assessment used to gauge a students learning in order to best modify and adjust instruction. Assessments have little to no grade impact (low stakes)
Exit Ticket: Students will have a series of either questions or short prompts having to do with multiplication facts of 0-2 that they will be required to turn in before leaving for the end of the day.
Park It: Students will be required to explain the concept that we learned on a sticky note as well as something they did not understand and write it on a sticky note and park it on the board. The teacher will read them and use them to address the next day.
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: this assessment is to monitor if a student is on track with their learning and to predict future assessment results, as well as where they are in the learning in general.
CFA: Students will complete a mini 10 problem test over multiplication and the different strategies (done after covering multiplication of 0-2)
STAAR: Texas Standardized test used to assess students overall learning for the year.
Summative
Definition: This type of assessment is used at the end of a unit and is used to see how much the student learned. These are usually high stakes.
District Assessment: An assessment given to students at the end of a unit used to see how much the student learned in that unit.
Essay: Student can write over what they learned in their math unit and pretend like they are teaching it to their peers. Having to tell us step by step instructions.
Performance
Definition: An assessment that requires students to complete a task instead of take a standard type of test.
Creating a times table for multiples of 0-2: Students have to create a times table chart for multiples of 0-2 in equation form.
Creating a pictorial times chart: Students would be responsible for creating a multiplication chart using pictures/shapes for multiples of 0-2.
Diagnostic
Definition: This type of assessment is used as a form of pre-assessment in order to learn students misconceptions and prior knowledge over the topic and can better help teachers plan future instruction.
Pre-Assessment Survey: Will be a survey given to the students about multiplication and what it is they know/misconceptions that they may have.
Mock Quizzes: Quizzes going over the different information we will be covering before and as the lesson goes on to track their progress.
